Stratford Parkway Station

Stratford Parkway Station involves the construction of a new railway station adjacent to the existing bus-based Stratford Park and Ride in Bishopton. Vehicular access to the station will be via the Park and Ride entrance. The station will have disabled parking, taxi rank and passenger drop-off/pick-up facilities, as well as a dedicated pedestrian and cycle link from Bishopton Lane.

Our team was appointed by Warwickshire County Council to provide planning support from initial scheme conception through to final project completion, along with regular review of the main contractor’s construction programme.

Our initial early planning support resulted in an early award of the construction contract, bringing forward the opening date of the new station seven months ahead of schedule, in May 2013.  We assisted the County Council in identification of key WCC and Network Rail interfaces particularly regarding permanent and temporary works designs, together with NR work package plan approvals for the scheme. This enabled the client to identify key approval periods to be prioritized in order to avoid or mitigate any delays to the construction programme.
