Our planning services were required to convert the tender programme into a Clause 31 and subsequent Clause 32 programme for this NEC Target Cost contract.  The new bridge and junction remodelling involved detailed planning around new constraints introduced post-tender programme, including access and traffic management.  Revised phasing drawings were produced and the scheme was reprogrammed.

The early constraints were accommodated within the overall duration of the original programme timescales and Compensation Events were modelled showing the additional work and saved time.

As further changes and delays occurred, each time-related Compensation Event was modelled so that the client could understand the effects of the change on the programme.

Our planning services have since been retained to bid for and win new tunnels and viaduct refurbishment works in South Wales.
