A41 Grade Separated Interchange

The project involves the creation of a dual-carriageway underpass, beneath an improved roundabout in West Bromwich. The construction work was programmed and delivered to cause as little disruption to traffic flow as possible.

We were initially appointed by to provide planning support mid-way through the construction work, principally to monitor the construction programme to completion. Our on-site support role was extended to produce an accurate as-built programme by review and study of site diaries and records. We have assisted Balfour Beatty in developing a Cl44 entitlement programme resulting from extensive on-site changes and variations.

The scheme value was £25M and the project will significantly improve access into West Bromwich and cut congestion for commuters. The programme was developed in P6 and the Contract was managed and let under the ICE form of Contract.
